Pre-Congress Workshop: The event will start with a workshop titled "How to write and manage a successful EU Horizon proposal: From initial idea to execution." This session is organized in collaboration with the EU H2020 granted project ONTOX, aiming to provide insights into navigating EU Horizon proposals. The access is free for all registered participant to the ESTIV 2024 congress.

Post-congress workshop
|
|
The post-congress workshop at the ESTIV 2024 Congress in Prague includes sessions facilitated by AFSA Masterclass and EPISKIN Academy, designed to provide participants with comprehensive training and hands-on experience in the field of toxicology and safety assessment. AFSA Masterclass- Overview: This session is dedicated to the next-generation risk assessment process (NGRA), an exposure-led, hypothesis-driven approach that integrates existing knowledge with in silico, in chemico, and in vitro methods.
- Content: Taught by experts from the Animal Free Safety Assessment Collaboration, the course covers each step of NGRA, including a specific module on In silico/Read Across, offering insights into modern risk assessment techniques.
- Date & Time: The AFSA Masterclass is scheduled for Thursday, 6th June 2024, from 14:00 to 16:15, followed by a coffee break, making it a comprehensive 2-hour course.
EPISKIN Academy Training- Overview: EPISKIN Academy's session focuses on their reconstructed tissue models, guiding participants on the best practices for using these models in various applications and validated methods.
- Content: The course, led by seasoned scientists from EPISKIN, includes lectures inspired by OECD guidelines, as well as hands-on exercises. Participants will conduct skin and eye irritation tests with unknown products, gaining practical experience.
- Date & Time: Lectures are scheduled for Thursday, 6th June 2024, from 16:30 to 18:30. Hands-on training continues on Friday, 7th June 2024, from 09:00 to 13:00, focusing on protocols such as OECD TG439, TG431, TG492, and TG492B.

The ESTIV2024 Congress in Prague offers an enriching social program that includes a Welcome Reception on June 3rd, 2024, at the Cubex Center Prague from 19:00 to 20:30. This is a great chance for attendees to connect. Additionally, a special Congress Dinner & Social Evening is scheduled for June 5th, 2024, at the Folklore Garden, featuring authentic Czech cuisine and entertainment.
