Pepper is a non-profit association created in the context of the French National Strategy for Endocrine Disruptors. This public-private platform is financially supported by the French “Programme of Investments for the Future” as well as by Pepper’s members (private and public organisations).

Xenometrix develops and manufactures ready to use Ames Test Kits in a microplate fluctuation assay format (Ames MPF, ICH M7) or as agar plate test kit (MicroAmes6, MacroAmes1-471, OECD 471). The microplate format allows automation, low consumption of test compound, 11times less consumption of S9 (less test animals) and produces significantly less plastic waste. Xenometrix also produces ready to use test kits for the in vitro micronucleus test with pancentromeric probes to enable a clear identification of aneugenic and clastogenic compounds within 1 hour hands on time (Rapid MicroNucleus MoA, OECD 483). Ready to use test kits for the detection of compounds with endocrine activity towards estrogen and androgen receptors are available as well. Also available from Xenometrix are ex vivo human and porcine skin explants for the in vitro permeation testing, skin penetration, biodistribution (OECD 428, MDR 2017/745).
